I know...what a surprise! Twice in one month...I told you I was going to try to do better!
Anyway, I had to tell you all about my new obsession. My very good friend, Clairissa told me about these books...a series called Twilight written by Stephanie Meyer...a graduate of BYU. Anyway, she told me what it was about and I was a little surprised by it and not overly anxious to read them. But, once I got started...I was hooked! I am thoroughly obsessed by it now. I was up till 4am Tuesday morning (stupid, I know!) and I was a mess when it was over...because the 4th and final book doesn't come out until August 2nd. Actually, if you know what's good for you, you won't start it until the month before the 4th comes out, because you won't have to wait for it, it will just be there!
Anyway, feeling a little self-conscience, I read these books and became over-whelmed by how much the affected me. I stayed up late and read them faster than any other book yet...reading a 600 page book in one night is more or less like running a mile in 5 minutes for me...it can't or shouldn't happen! So, I became involved with these characters. I've never read anyone write down the emotions and feelings like Stephanie did (I feel like I can call her that because of our relationship through these books). I have experienced every feeling she described...and it felt exactly like that.
I'm a little embarrassed by this...but, after reading other's obsessions and feelings about it, I couldn't hold it in anymore. If you want to experience something that will alter your everyday life, then I highly recommend it. You won't believe it. I promise! I tried to show you a picture of how I look after reading this book, but "unfortunately" my USB port has malfunctioned and I'll have to leave that one to myself.
Check out the website of Stephanie Meyers and her world of vampires - oh, I didn't mention that before - it's about vampires, but I promise...you'll want to be a vampire as bad as Bella and you'll want Edward to be the one to change you before you are finished with the first book! It will make sense when you read the books! I promise. For those of you that have read these compelling books, go to this link for the next experience in this series - Stephanie is going to be writing the entire story from Edward's perspective. Here is Midnight Sun and the actual first chapter - unedited - from the book.
Until Breaking Dawn comes out, I need suggestions that can fill this void, quench this thirst and fulfill this fix...I don't think Stephanie has time to write enough to keep me busy...although, her website is pretty busy!
Until the next time!

February - and the New Year
Garfield Family Picture 2007
It's the beginning of the new year...ok, so it's typical for me to be bad at this, but hopefully, I'll be able to update every month. If I don't, tell me! I will do it if I have more pestering...just out of sheer guilt!
So, things are crazy as always and I had to start a new blog because I changed email addresses...it is now, calipeachmom@gmail.com ...I did this for two reasons. One, my husband kept insisting that I join gmail and two, because it will be easier to update my blog if all I have to do is click on the link rather than what I was doing because I had yahoo. I still have yahoo, but gmail, is my primary address.
Braden wouldn't smile so we made the picture fit his smile. This is our George Clooney Look-Alike!
On with the news! Braden lost his first tooth two weeks ago and he even got a visit from the tooth fairy. He was so excited. We made a tooth jar (from tupperware and markers) and he carried it around all day.
Brothers and Best Friends Forever
All it took was a tickle, but we finally got the smile!
Landon is...well...Landon! He's always moving and constantly exploring. He's very smart, but has come to the realization that Braden will do everything for him, including speak for him, and thinks that's a pretty cool thing. He has become very jealous of the baby and the attention he gets. Landon is sort of overlooked, what with Braden commanding attention and Brogan just being his adorable baby self. We are hoping to start Landon in Preschool in September and we really feel like that will help him identify his own person. The essence of Brogan - Sweet and Curious!
Brogan is growing more rapidly - if you can believe it - then the other boys did. He is 10 months and is already wearing 18 - 24 months. He's really been wearing 18m since Christmas, but I didn't want to believe it...poor kid! He's starting to get more verbal and is very particular about what he wants and doesn't. If he has something in his hand and you try to take it from him, he moves his hand around so fast that you can't even get it. He's speedy! He's also discovered that walking is much quicker...although that effort is still aided by the furniture and the stairs are really adventuresome and continues to stop Mom's heart whenever I find him there.Mommy and Brogan
Joseph and I - 7 years and Counting!
Joseph and I are are trying to get in shape and have started going to the gym together. We know this will help us keep up with are little savages. We are still trying to do fun things to our house. We put in a new light maple laminate floor and bought some new furniture. It has made things really open and bright. We also just moved the baby into the guest room. FREEDOM! sort of! Joseph was gracious enough to give up his personal office to allow me to have more sleep at night and the baby a more defined area. Thank you Joseph!Mommy and Her Boys
Daddy and His Pals!
All in all, things are great! As we are striving to better ourselves physically, spiritually and mentally, we are finding that life flies by and that we are more happy. That is, after all, what the Lord intended. To learn, to grow and to be happy. By doing those things, we know that it will only lead to Him. Great things are in store this year and we truly look forward to experiencing them all. We love you and miss those of you that aren't around. Take care and keep in touch!Love,
Becky and the "Busy Boys"
PS: my email is in honor of my family home (California) and my new home (Georgia - Peach)...just in case you were wondering!
